About the Heirloom Seed Project

The Medomak Valley High School Heirloom Seed Project has been preserving history through saving seeds for twenty-three years. The program hosts several Horticulture classes and preserves over 800 varieties of heirloom vegetables, fruits, and grains. The program also maintains a Living History Arboretum, with over twenty-five historically significant trees. We also have a community earth oven that students built in April 2013. Come for a visit!
